Let's keep this real simple

No one is disagreeing in principle

The issue is not about whether or not a crime was committed and should be investigated (Note: the matter remains under ongoing active investigation) or, if found guilty, whether the soldiers should be held accountable, everyone can agree on that.

The issue is what Jack Murtha is seeking to accomplish by eagerly airing the dirty laundy in public? His actions are purposefully damaging the reputation of our military, and also providing political ammo to our enemies here and in the Middle East who can point the finger at "evil" America and continue to incite violence in the region.

Just because the local 6 o'clock news, "reporting" in accordance with the guidelines of political correctness, doesn't identify the race/skin color of a rapist or murderer doesn't mean that a crime hasn't been committed and that the investigation isn't serious. Or does it?

Murtha certainly knows better. And maybe he should exercise some true political correctness when it really counts: protecting the integrity of our nation during a hostile time of war.

Hippies Smell

Another Wednesday, another night of counter-protesting.

(I'm in the Middle!)

Every Wednesday, the anti-war activists show up for a "silent vigil" against the war in Iraq at the State Capital. A small group of pro-military, pro-democracy and pro-Iraq folks get together to protest the protesters to make it fair and balanced.

This Wednesday, the hippies were there with their signs: "Lies Kill"; "Iraq is an Arab Vietnam"; "Bring Them Home Now"; "SC Against the War"; "Make levees, not War". Yawn.

I'm proud of my girls from chaturbate rooms who love standing up for their daddy and their country. As we walked up in front of the state building, we were greeted by a soldier in his BDUs, an MP from Ft. Jackson who happened to be passing by. He shook our hands and thanked us for the support and told us that he saw the war protesters next to us and was sickened and angered. No surprise, soldiers do not feel supported by the "bring them home now" crowd. Maybe it's the constant criticism of the job they do in Iraq and Afghanistan, or maybe its because these are the same hippies who spat on returning Vietnam soldiers in the 70's.. at any rate, he did feel supported and appreciated by us, he didn't by the anti-war protesters. This is one of the reasons we do this: to make any soldier who passes by the peaceniks during rush hour feel cared about despite these protesters.

Democrats' Real Security

The LA Times is running an article that 'highlights' just how little Democrats are to be trusted when they trot out their 'Real Security' campaign. Here's the section that calls them out:

At the time that Democrats are talking up their sex cams credentials in public, they're attempting to slash spending on the NSA intercept program policy that's kept us safe thus far. Couple that with their bragging about killing the Patriot Act and you're left wondering if they aren't a bad sideshow from a third-tier circus.

You'd think that they'd at least act like adults while they're focusing their attention on national security. But that would force that leopard to change its spots and we know that ain't happening, don't we?

We should know better when you think about it. After all, what do Reid and Pelosi have to do with intelligence?

Education for Illegal Immigration

Protesting For Free EducationMulti-culturalism's results inflame nativist resentment.

Why has the impact of large-scale immigration since the 1960s been so different from that of the even larger influx of roughly 22 million non-English-speaking immigrants between the Civil War and our 1917 entry into World War I?

The answer is, in a word, education.

Multi-cultural and PC education is a virulent force that sabotages assimilation of immigrants into the political and cultural traditions of the United States.

In the earlier era the paradigm was the 'melting pot,' the idea that disciplined education of immigrants' friends in the public schools would teach them the English language, our history, and our Constitutional traditions, thereby transforming immigrants into Americans within a generation. The motto "e pluribus unum" (from many peoples, one nation) was taken seriously.

It worked. By the outset of World War II, the multitudes of hyphenated Americans were first and foremost Americans, however justifiably proud they were of their ancestral history and traditions.

Now in California we have illegal-immigrant Mexican demonstrators clogging highways to demand their 'rights,' while waving Mexican flags and carrying placards declaring that California really belongs to Mexico. In the most recent gubernatorial race, Arnold Schwartzenegger's opponent was Lieutenant Governor Cruz Bustamente, a jasminelive member and active supporter of La Raza, the lobbying group that opposes Americanization of Mexicans and promotes the goal of reclaiming California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas as parts of Mexico.

Having as many as twelve million people living illegally among us as if they were an invading and occupying army quartered at the expense of legitimate citizens is bound to foment fierce opposition. It's universal human nature, as the European experience with separatist and subversive Muslim enclaves demonstrates.

Clark: U.S. Needs New Plan on Terror War

Gross: Dems Need A Credible Spokesperson on National Security

That's my conclusion after reading this AP article and I'm sticking with it. Gen. Clark has now gone from being a disgraced fired battlefield general to being a disgraceful political hack on the national security issue. Here's a disgraceful section of his diatribe:

Obviously, Clark's ignoring the fact that California Conservative's Ray Robison has been doing a great job posting documents that show President Bush didn't hype the intelligence. To the contrary, Ray's work has shown that Saddam's generals thought they had WMD's and were shocked to find out that he didn't. So much for hyped intelligence.

But why should verified facts interrupt Gen. Clark's diatribe, right?

Furthermore, it's insulting for Gen. Clark to say that President Bush's plan is a "path to nowhere." Shame on his politically-motivated claims. He claims that President Bush's policies, which have led to the liberation of 50 million people and the writing of two constitutions, are leading us nowhere.

Only an idiot could say it and mean it. And Clark isn't an idiot. He's a willing accomplice in a mean-spirited, dishonest attack on a president who's taken a proactive approach to ridding this world of the villains who killed three thousand innocent civilians and who terrorized an entire region.

While President Bush has been bold, Democrats have been timid little-minded whiners who don't have a coherent strategy on winning the GWOT. They only have diatribes and trite-sounding 'goals' like capturing bin Laden.
